Last week was a full one with parent-teacher conferences, volunteering, appointments, and play dates. The kids got creative with their Halloween candy and made some indoor smores for dessert one night. Noah also made some chocolate-dipped marshmallows! (I swear, we eat healthy food too!!)

Noah has been obsessed with DJ Marshmello lately, and he created a replica of the helmet that he wears when he's spinning songs. Noah went on to make a whole dance party for us, complete with music and lights. It was pretty entertaining!

Parent-teacher conferences went well for both kids! Their teachers had very positive comments, and we were super proud to hear that they're both working hard and doing their best at school. For all the pandemic years these kids have gone through in school, we still appreciate the normal things, like being able to go into the school for conferences!

Matt had an early Thanksgiving celebration at work, and he entered the pie contest! I coached him through the process of making a homemade chocolate cream pie, and he did awesome! Sadly, he didn't win the competition, but it sounds like the pie disappeared quickly.

It was a travel weekend for us, and this time it was for Noah's first away basketball tournament in Clifton Park, NY. Evie had dance practice at home on Saturday, and honestly, she wasn't all that interested in a weekend of basketball, so she stayed at Aunt Pea's house for the weekend. She had so much fun over there with Aunt Pea and her cousins that I'm surprised she even wanted to come home! Noah also had a blast at his tournament, and his team made it all the way to the championship game, but ended up losing in that game. The games were very competitive and very physical, but it was a good learning experience for Noah to play in games at that level. The team camaraderie was a fun component of the weekend, with the boys hanging out at the hotel pool, getting Chick-Fil-A, and cheering on other Vermont teams in the tournament.
