We Made It!

Today is the last (half) day of school before summer break officially begins!  I haven't had the usual emotions, because we have been so busy that I have hardly had time to think about school ending.  The kids both had a fun field trip day yesterday - Evie was at the Sandbar, and I was with Noah at the Shelburne Museum.  We also attended Evie's final orchestra concert of the year.  It has been a wildly busy week, but a great way to celebrate all the accomplishments of the school year.

We are grateful that both kids had a really good school year.  Noah had a wonderful teacher and classmates, and both his reading and math got very strong this year.  He grew in confidence and had a ton of fun.  He loves PE and music classes!

Evie also had a great first year in middle school.  Yes, there were the social challenges you'd expect at that age, but she navigated them, new friendships have formed, and she rocked her academic and musical endeavors.  She loved the freedoms that come with middle school, and the fact that she had a variety of teachers and classmates throughout the day.  There were so many new opportunities, and she especially loved her science class (and teacher!).

Another notable celebration was our nephew Elliot's high school graduation on Saturday.  We are so proud of him!!  He has worked hard and always followed his own path to find happiness.  He's a great cousin and role model for our kids, too!

And, the celebrations couldn't stop there, because our special dads and grandpas deserved some extra love for Father's Day on Sunday.  Grandpa Zeke, Grandpa Tom and Matt are all amazing dads who always make time to support the kids (and us big kids, too!).  We are so very blessed!

All this running around has made Frankie miss us a little bit, and she has been making sure to grab some extra snuggles when we're around.  She's not very subtle when she needs some love!
