We bid our goodbyes to the Colorado Zehnackers last week after an awesome visit. We had to squeeze in some final photos, soccer games, and Irish Dance before they headed out to the airport. So many great memories were made during the week...including the boys hitting a wiffle ball into the bowl of salsa during happy hour. Ha ha!
We cheered ourselves up with some yummy ice cream cake for Grandpa Zeke's birthday!
After all the festivities, it was time to get back to normal life. Noah had art camp for the rest of the week, and Evie seemed to be living her best life as an only child while Noah was gone to camp every day! She spent time drawing, reading, sewing, practicing violin, as well as doing fun one-on-one things with each of us - rock climbing with Daddy and berry picking with Mommy. We celebrated the end of the camp week with an ice cream date at Sweet Scoops!
We are amazed at Evie's climbing skills!
She made it to the top!

Night out for Mommy and Daddy at an outdoor concert
Evie was very pleased we brought a snack home from the concert
The weekend FINALLY brought us a sunny Saturday, and we had a free schedule! Evie made crepes for breakfast (she had learned to make them at cooking camp), and then we spent a few leisurely hours at the pool, and then another couple hours playing at the river with Frankie.
I hate that we are already at the end of July, and my brain automatically starts thinking about school when we turn the calendar to August. Not yet - we will enjoy the rest of summer first!
