Birthdays and Snow

Early February is a busy birthday season in our family.  After Matt's birthday on Monday, we continued the celebrations throughout the week, including Aunt Pea's birthday on Wednesday.  After all the celebrating, we were graced with a snow day on Friday, which was a welcome day at home for all of us after a busy week.  It was a strange snow storm that started with ice (which the kids found to be lots of fun), followed by some really intense snow throughout Friday afternoon totaling almost 18 inches.  Thankfully we were all able to just stay home and hunker in for the storm.  We did some baking, puzzling, and had a family movie night.  Unfortunately, it was too windy and bitter cold to go outside and play, but we finally made it out to enjoy the snow on Sunday with a romp in the woods on our snowshoes!

Leave it to us sisters to show up in matching outfits...accidentally!  This happens more often than not!

Ooh - a gift that is good for sharing!  Ha ha!
