There isn't a ton of news to report this week. We had a busy weekend of three nights in a row of babysitters, which was a treat! We went to a UVM hockey game, to a party with many of our SMC friends, and then we got back into playing music at church again for the semester. It actually made me miss my kids a little bit, but we are so grateful for grandmas and Donna who take such good care of our kids for us!

We had to get the kids out of the house for a little bit on Saturday when it was mid-30s and raining outside. That's the kind of weather that just can't be salvaged, so we headed to the mall, after gymnastics and ice skating both fell through. The kids ate a pretzel from Auntie Anne's and rode all those little rides, and they were happy. It all seemed great until we got home, and Noah projectile vomited the second we walked in the door. Matt and I were frozen in place for about 5 minutes as we figured out what to do. I have no idea if it was the food or the rides or the combination of the two, but thankfully, it wasn't a stomach bug!
Noah seems to have a lot of new words lately, most of them pretty cute. Even his "no" is still cute at this point, but I'm sure that won't last long!
- "kye" - his way of saying okay, and he uses it a lot.
- Me: "Noah, time to put your drumsticks down." Noah: "kye"
- "no" - he finally says it! But he hasn't learned to say it in a defiant way yet, which is awesome.
- Me: "Noah, do you want this pouch?" Noah: "no" (he used to just shake his head or bat it away)
- He's putting multiple words together in many different contexts:
- He'll tell me he wants "Milk in chair" when he wants to nurse in the morning
- He'll ask for stuff by saying, "More milk please" or, "Daddy, more milk!"
- He tells me where everyone is "Evie downstairs" and "Daddy work"
- He will say goodbye/goodnight to inanimate objects, "Night night, choo choo train"'
- He likes to tell me what we did during the day, "BOB ride outside"
And here are a few other photos from the week:
