Spring Fever...oh wait, just a fever

Winter just won't quit around here.  Snow keeps falling, and germs are hanging on.  Noah's preschool was closed on Friday due to illness, and we have been pretty housebound lately, because Evie has been sick since Saturday.  It's been a yucky fever, vomiting, headache, stuffy nose, and general misery kind of bug.  The poor girl has barely gotten off the couch.

Mommy was tired after being up with Evie during the night.  Family nap time!

She at least made it to family reading night at school before illness struck!

The silver lining of being stuck at home is that Noah decided he was ready to wear underwear on Saturday, and we always had a bathroom nearby.  We have been offering, begging, bribing him to get started on potty training, but he just said no in the past.  Lately, Noah has been talking about how he is becoming such a big boy - riding his bike, picking up his toys, washing his hands without needing a stool, turning out lights, taking his dirty dishes out to the kitchen, etc., which gave us hope that he would realize potty training was a big boy thing, too.  We knew that nothing was going to happen until Noah decided he was ready, and now that he set his mind to it, he has been very successful in his first few days of potty training!  Go Noah!
